GAVIN----

Gavin is almost 7 1/2 months now....he has acomplished so much and it seems way too early!!
He is now eating almost anything we give him, he loves asparagus and strawberries.  His two bottom teeth finished coming in and now he has both k9s breaking through....I've never seen a baby get these teeth before their front teeth :o) He is going to look pretty funny.  He is pulling up with the help of things, sitting up from a lying down position.  He's not crawling and I don't see that he has any interest in it, he bounces him self onto his knees but one leg always gets stuck behind him and he gets upset lol.
He is talking....waves and says bye-bye and of course says DADA ( I know right, ugh) he said mama one time and I've not heard it since.

Being serious about his strawberries.

Reading his Bible.

He is such a cute and happy little guy.  The boys have become more interested in him now that he is trying to get around. They sit in the floor and play legos with him. Well he chews while the play.

New Doctor

I have been trying to find a doctor for the boys that I like and that takes time for us and our questions/concerns.  It took us awhile but we finally found Dr. Froman and I couldn't be happier!

I have to admit I was not as well informed with babies getting shots with my first son or even second, although with Logan they were more spaced out, there are so many questions and controversy over shots these days.....yet they seem to be mandatory or the doctors will not even see your children.  I see both sides I do not like to give the shots to my children but then again I feel like they are somewhat necessary to protect against certain things.  Anyways......Will and I decided with Gavin that we would get shots just not 5 at a time and space them out more, we also didn't start when he was 2 months!!! It was nice to find someone that was OK with us doing that.

She was so nice and the boys didn't seem to have a problem with her.

Summertime

Well the end of June and temps are in the 100s already!!! It is so HOT I don't want to get out of the house until like 8pm.......It looks like we won't even be able to enjoy the fourth because of all the burn bans that have been issued.

The boys keep bugging me to play outside but that is just not happening!  I tried to take their minds off of outdoors by making a list of the things we would like to do this summer.  *I got the idea from a friend of mine.
So far it includes going to the Aquarium, going to the movies, bowling, chuck e cheese and a few more things.

Will and I were planning a camping trip but with it getting hot so soon that will be postponed until the early fall.  We will probably figure some kinda fun camping thing around the house......oh to have the imagination we did when we were younger we'd probably have all kinds of good ideas!!!

An Afternoon with O

My kids call my dad "O" different but cute.  It started when my nephew was little he called him O-pa and then just dropped the pa.

So I didn't get to see my dad on fathers day he was busy working and running errands so it was nice to get together with him yesterday.  He wanted to take the boys to the river.

They rode 4-wheelers and played in the river for a bit.  It was fun even Gavin enjoyed it.  He absolutely loves my dad as soon as he hears his voice he just starts smiling and follows him everywhere with his eyes.

You know those days where you are making such good memories you don't want it to end?....that was yesterday!!!

I took a few pics with my phone so they aren't in the best quality.

Dad would just barely get his feet to the water and he'd start kicking his legs.

After the river, they got to go pick out snacks/drinks with O at the Shell station.  What seems like the littlest things to us can make a childs day.  Lyric referred to it as the "best day ever".  I am glad they enjoyed themselves and they are already starting in on me when is O going to take them back. :)

"Family Time"

Anytime we do something together Lyric calls it our Family Time :) I think its sweet because if we've not done anything in awhile he asks "is it family time yet"?

Anyways....What we thought would be a long Tuesday in between appointments in town we decided to make it a fun day.

Logan had speech therapy at the library at 11 am so I got everyone up made some breakfast and started packing stuff for a picnic.
After the library we went to Wilson Park and had our little picnic.

Then we went to the little castle and took some pictures.

After our picnic and picture taking we took the kids to Toys R Us to spend the money they had been saving up.

All in all it was a fun day and I think it was nice for us to just focus on some family time......

Fathers Day 2012

Fathers Day was fun this year.....I took the boys shopping for Will and let them pick out there own presents.  They decided to get him stuff for his new grill; a cover and some utensils.  He thought it was adorable and they were so excited that he loved his presents.

We also got together with one of my close friends and she took pictures of them holding the letters D A D.  I thought it turned out really well and Will really enjoyed it!!

We got up Sunday morning and went to church then met Wills' dad for lunch at Logans came home and rested until church that night.

Something good is about to happen

The last year or so has been a pretty rough year, despite all the blessings we have gotten.  But I know that everything happens for a reason, we go through things that we cannot explain all for the glory of God.

My husband and I have returned to our home church a few months ago and I am so in awe of the spirit of God.  We felt led back to this place and we have been so blessed.  The kids love their new Sunday School class and they are no trouble during service when they stay with us.  Logan has impressed me with his singing and even going to the altar to pray with daddy.  I feel so blessed to have children that are so interested in learning about Jesus.

With everything we have been through I truly feel like something good is about to happen...doors we never thought would open are going to be open all in Jesus name.  I am so excited to see what God has in store for us and our family.

A day at HOME

It seems like all we have done lately is go go go.... Today was a day that I really enjoyed!!

It was just the three boys and I...We slept till about 8, I got up made some chocolate chip pancakes and everyone cleaned their plates :) Yes even little Gavin enjoyed a few nibbles.

After breakfast I went out and filled the swimming pool up so the water could warm up.  I decided that today would just be a focus on the kids kinda day and most of the housework could wait, with the exception of laundry and a load of dishes.  So needless to say as I'm writing this the house is a disaster area and I am trying to debate on cleaning it tonight or in the morning.....morning wins!

We relaxed with some cartoons, did a few lessons (working hard for kindergarten), had a great lunch followed by yo gabba gabba (Gavins favorite) and then to my surprise ALL 3 kids took a nap at the same time with no fussing/back talking/crying involved.  Therefore I caught up on a tv show and I myself entered into the nap zone.  I did not sleep very well but I got a little rest....woke up had some snacks.  New favorite snack: cinnamon graham crackers with peanut butter on them YUMMY

Then I decided, after 30 minutes of course, that we would go out and swim for at least an hour. I have decided that only real moms get into kiddy pools LOL.....the water was nice and Gavin had a blast splashing around with Lyric and Logan.

We then came inside put on some comfy clothes had some popcorn and played chutes and ladders and candy land.

I know the kids enjoyed mommy "taking the day off" and it was a pretty good day.  It is days like today that make me realize what a privilege it is to be a stay at home mommy.  I am so thankful and feel so very blessed!!

Gavin loves to eat.....

Gavin has been interested in solid food for about two months now, but I thought I would try him on puree....needless to say he is not into the puree at ALL!!! He wants to explore it, hold it and do it all himself.

Which is fine...I just dropped the purees and I am doing baby led solids.  So far he has not tuned anything down which I think is amazing!!

List of things he has tried:
1. scrambled eggs
2. banana
3. toast
4. green beans
5. sweet potato
6. red potato
7. pancake
8. spaghetti

Memorial Day Weekend

For the end of May it sure did feel like August!!
I decided to bring out the boys pool after being in storage for a year.  Come to find out silly mommy took the caps off and stored them in a "safe place" now they are nowhere to be found! To my defense we have moved since then because I know exactly where I put them :/

Needless to say I took the boys to get a new pool.....I couldn't stand the sadness around the house after I told them the pool was broke.

So what started out to be a quick trip to the store ended in looking at all the pool stuff, picking out a little pool, buying shark shaped goggles, crab shaped goggles and a beachball.  The boys were all excited as I was blowing it up and then ran the water hose to it...only to get their hopes dashed by "its going to take a bit to fill up and we need to eat lunch" hahahaha.

Sunday: We went to church and then had a cookout at my moms house.

Memorial Day: I am so thankful for those who have served and lost their lives for us to have the freedom we do!! We just hung out at the house all day and it was so nice....
