My middle child :)

Sadly Logan has been showing some signs of being the middle child.... I was hoping that it was a myth but I guess not :(

I try to spend time with each child and he has been going to preschool twice a week and I guess its just hitting him all of a sudden that mommy has to take care of the baby too!!

So the other day I ran into town with just the two of us it wasn't anything special but we enjoyed it.  He got to pick out some candy from the candy store and we just ran some errands.

I want to try and do this more often now that I can break away from Gavin its nice to do one on one with each boy.

His favorite place is Chuck e Cheese so I'm sure we will have to have a "date" soon.

Anyways maybe this will pass soon because he has been trying me lol. I am hoping him starting preschool full time in the fall will help...we will see.

Fun Summer Stuff

We have been trying to do the list of fun things with the kids before school starts and it has been soooo HOT that I barely want to leave the house.

So far we have taken them to the rodeo. Which they enjoyed, I think Logan more than Lyric.

They really enjoyed wearing their cowboy boots. :)

We have been to see a couple of movies.....Ice Age continental drift and Brave. 

We have of course been to get frozen yogurt at Cherry Berry!!

We still have a few things to do before the summer ends, I guess we should hurry its almost over!!

Lyric and I have started reading the Boxcar children series.

I read these books when I was little and I thought he might enjoy them.  Logan tries to listen but without pictures its hard :)

Lyric

The summer is kinda going by fast....Lyric starts school in less than 4 weeks!!!!!!!!I'm trying to finish up planning his 6th birthday party.  I let him pick everything this year from the theme, invitations and place.  I was surprised when he picked dinosaurs and he wants to have it at Cherry Berry (his fave fro-yo place).  So I've decided to home make cupcakes and make them "cute" little grass mountains with dinos on top. :) We will see how they turn out.

I've also been trying to shop for his birthday and school stuff........ I had no idea I would get so stressed over a backpack! I've bought three yes three...no he's not spoiled (maybe a little) I made the mistake and ordered the first one offline and when it got to me it was WAY too small. So I kept that one as a diaper bag for Gavin.  The second one Nana picked up for me because he said he wanted a ninjago backpack but we decided it would not make it through the school year and I would rather spend a little more on something that he could possibly use for at least three years. So that was going to be a bday present for him but I caved and gave it to him early, he loves it!!

He has been working so hard to prepare for school I am so amazed at how much he has matured in the past 6 months or so. 

Lyric has lost two teeth within a couple of weeks from each other.  I couldn't believe it I was hoping he wouldn't lose any until after his first school pics but oh well I'm sure they will look even cuter!
