Logans first week of preschool...

I have been amazed at how well Logan has taken to preschool...he has been home with me since he was born but you could not tell it.

He has been going a couple of days a week over the summer but their curriculum started this week and he started full time. 
He lays out his clothes every night and gets in bed...he is usually awake before time although he gets around super slow LOL!!

This week they have been working on the color red and A-Apple.  His teacher put a red bracelet on their arms to learn right hand and after one day he could tell me he knew right hand! I was impressed because when I try to teach him something he could care less (maybe I'm not fun).  I absolutely love his teacher Ms. Frankie she is the sweetest caring lady I've ever met.  She not only teaches the kids but she loves them too and I think that is very important!

The last couple of nights I have been asking the boys if they have anything specific they would like to pray for and Logan raises his hand and wants to pray for Ms. Frankie, Emma and Lola. I thought it was so sweet....last night he took it upon himself to pray for Kaleb (another kid in his class) and his dad.  I believe that God impresses on us who needs prayer and it is so amazing that my 3 year old has picked up on that.

His teacher posts pics of them doing their activities on Facebook for the parents to see so I have included some of those as well.

First day of KINDERGARTEN!!!!!!!!!

Today was Lyrics' Big Day....He was up before time, barely ate his breakfast, got dressed and was ready to go.  I didn't sleep well last night I'm not sure if it was nerves or because of Gavin :) ( I am going to blame Gavin).

So we got Lyric to his classroom this morning..I took pictures of him walking all the way to the school hahaha.  He went in hung up his backpack sat down and seemed fine.  They gave the parents the option to stay for a bit or leave, I decided I would ask him what he wanted, which was stay (thank goodness).  So he got to play with some building toys while we waited on everyone to get there.  After that we all walked down to the cafeteria and got a breakfast tray,when he was done he went and put the tray up and then got in line for class. I was surprised that he actually wanted to give me a kiss in front of everyone!!

I did pretty good until we headed to town and it was really quiet in the car.

Gavin is 9 months!!!

I cannot believe my baby is getting so big!! He weighs 22 lbs and is growing.
He has accomplished so much in the last month from saying dada to finally saying MAMA (mainly when he is upset), to weaning himself and sleeping in his own crib.  Some things are sad but I know its part of him growing up and becoming independent. 

He has went from army crawling to crawiling on all fours, he now pulls up and is wanting to let go.  He is so cute in his walker just moving around everywhere.  Just last week he started clapping, it is the cutest thing and he is so proud of himself.  He loves to shake his head NO and he also has this shoulder shrug that is ADORABLE!!

Gavin eats anything and everything you give him.  He just started getting in his top two teeth and they are causing him to be super cranky and not sleeping well at all.

Open house

Lyric:
 Summer is coming to a close and we had open house for Lyric last night.  We got to go in his class room and meet his teacher.  She seems sweet, it was crazy hectic so we didn't really get to talk to her much but I am sure there will be plenty of time for that ;)  Lyric went in found his seat sat for a bit and then Will took him on a tour around the room while I filled out paper work.  He has his little cubby for his backpack that he will share with another boy and then he has a smaller cubby I am assuming for his lunch box?!!  I couldn't help but be nervous this is such a huge life changing event...but that will all come on Monday (emotions of my little man growing up). Yes I am tearing up as I write this lol.

Logan:
 Logan had a meet and greet at his pre-k last night as well.  Of course we were late because of Lyrics but we made it!! I was excited to see that most of the kids going this year have parents that I know or went to school with.  Its crazy that we all have children around the same age but I think it will be good....I remember when I was little my mom would only let me go to friends house that she knew there parents, I won't have that problem because we know them all LOL!!!!!!

It was a good night in all and I'm so excited that Lyric is ready for kindergarten and that Logan took well to pre-k after being home with me since he was born.

Lyrics' 6th bday

So I am like so behind on blogging but we have been super busy or Gavin has just kept me tied up :P

Lyric had his birthday party at Cherry Berry on July 31st.  We ended up having a bunch of people come which was good.  He picked out everything from the place to the theme and everything in between.
