Lyric

Lyric my sweet 1st grader....everything seems to be going really well for him as far as his schoolwork and being ahead of where he should be, but he is having trouble making friends this year. Yes I have cried about it and I've wondered what was going on and I've tempted to pull him out and home school him because I could be his best friend hahahaha jk (kinda).  It doesn't seem to bother him too much because he still wants to go to school, so I know its just a matter of time.

Lyric is a great helper these days and he is getting better about responsibility, we've started new chore charts and jobs to earn things and I'm impressed about his interest in it.

We will see what the year of first grade with my sweet 7 year old brings, hopefully most of it will be JOY.

Logan

Logan is in his last year of pre-k this year, unless I decide at the last minute I don't want him going to Kindergarten. :/

He is a good kid who handles being the middle child very well, I was afraid it might be hard for him and who knows it could be.  We let him join a soccer team (he's been asking for over a year) and I think its going to be the best thing for him.  He has such a good time and loves the attention that he is doing something.  He literally smiles the whole entire time he is playing a game....I mean to the point of me thinking his face has to be hurting LOL.

Logan has also been going to speech again, we've had some problems finding just the right person and I think we have found her for sure!  A week or so ago we got a letter stating that our speech therapy would no longer be covered by our insurance, so we would end up having to pay so much per visit.  At first I was like oh that isn't too bad until I started figuring 2 times a week and that times 4!!! WHOA!!! Being a one income family I just didn't see that amount available in our budget, so what did I do??????????? I worried and worried and I cried, because this is something that he desperately needs.......And then it hit me I don't have to worry so I sat down and I prayed to God that his will be done.  Then came speech day, I called to cancel for that day because we just didn't have the $$ and his therapist called me and said something that automatically brought me to tears........ "You do not have to worry about paying for his services, they are all on us." WOW talk about one happy mama :)
Anyways back to Logan he is doing so well for only just beginning I couldn't be more happier.

Gavin

I am so sad that I still cannot upload any pics to my blog.  I've tried to look into it but its really weird so I don't know I guess I will just keep writing until I figure it out.

On to Gavin.....

Gavin is by far smartest spoiled almost 2 year old I know LOL...(I can say that because I'm his mom) Compared to where our oldest boys were at this age Gavin is very advanced, he picks things up quickly and thank God he does not have an ear problem that is leading to speech problems.  OH no he has no problem communicating and his vocabulary is huge!

What does he like to do?
He loves following after the older two always wanting to do what they are doing, of course they don't like the quality time most days ahahahha.
Gavin still loves Yo Gabba Gabba he can sing all the songs and do the dances.  He also likes Jake and the Neverland Pirates as well as Toy Story.  We went for weeks watching Buzz and Woody.
Gavin loves being outside he cries when he gets left in :(

I'm so proud of everything that he does he is my little cutie.

Last night after Logans soccer game he was given a small bag of chips in which he fell asleep with his hand in the bag, so I told Will that I wanted to take a picture of that and he opened his eyes to say cheese out of a sleep.  It was hilarious we all laughed about it for awhile.

falling behind...

Once again I am falling behind on this blog...so in order to catch up to where we are today>>>>>here we go!!!!!

The beginning of June we took our first summer vacation to Florida!! It was a fun getaway, that will not be done again in a LONG time, due to the awesome (not) car ride home LOL.  I always have such a hard time uploading pics to the blog for some reason so boo.  I don't understand it I've tried every other day trying to upload our vacation photos and it just will not work!! I might have to find a new blog :(

Since home from vacation we have took the kids to do different things, library reading program, movies, camping, they have marked off some things off of their summer to do list.

It is one week until the end of summer break and we are ready for school!  Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my kids being home for the summer and we were able to do lots of things, we have been extremely blessed...........but the kids are getting antsy and saying they are bored and I am ready for a routine to get going again.

Start to summer...

So the boys have made a huge list of things to do this summer...from going places to just doing things around the house.  So to kick off summer break we went to Crystal Bridges museum this past Monday (yes memorial day and yes it was crazy busy) the boys had a pretty good time and we took them into the play center and hung out there for a bit.  After that we went to the park across the street and had a little picnic lunch..it was extremely windy!!!  Sadly I went to take pics with my camera and forgot the sd memory card in the computer FAIL........ :(

1 Day until our beach vacation....I don't know who is getting more excited us or the kids! Just a little nervous about the long drive.  I have already packed the boys up and got their clothes into one gigantic suitcase (go me).  We are getting a rental car so I'm not sure what trunk space we will be having.

Today we got out the sprinkler and let the kids play for a few minutes before their lips started turning blue.  After that we rested a bit and I finished getting the house in order to leave and then on to the t-ball game :)

I have some great sprinkler pics but I'm having trouble loading them, I will try again later to update..........

Logan

Logan has turned 4 at the end of April...with me being so behind I didn't get it posted :/

He finished his first year of pre-k and I am surprised at all he has learned: he can write his name, recognize letters in the alphabet and count (a little) he doesn't care much about counting right now LOL.  He loves writing his name though!! I can't believe how different he is from Lyric but I guess every child is different :)

He will soon be starting back speech therapy classes, he has come so far without them but I really think its important for him to go into speech his final year before he starts kindergarten.  We are starting with a new company that will actually work with us and come out to his school to evaluate him and do his classes there as well.  That in itself is such a relief.

Gavin

Gavin is now a year and a half! WOW, he is growing like crazy and learning so much.  I don't remember Lyric and Logan being as vocal as Gavin, of course Lyric had ear problems that led to speech problems and the same with Logan...so this is all new for me LOL.  Gavin can say pretty much anything he wants to: I want to get up, mama, dada, Yric (lyric), puppup, wreck it, ralph, ball, hot and the list just keeps going.  His favorite movie is Wreck it Ralph, that kid will sit down and watch the entire movie and loves it!! He also is still a big Yo Gabba Gabba fan and he can sing the songs with the show and gets super excited when it comes on.  He still eats just about everything especially his veggies (thank goodness I got one that does).

Lyric

Lyric has graduated kindergarten!! I am so proud of him, I look back at the beginning of the school year and I was so worried that he would struggle but he sure showed me!  They grade so different then when I was a kid instead of A's and B's its if you have mastered a skill or still progressing.  He had mastered everything by the end of the 4th quarter except one thing (which was capitalizing proper nouns in a sentence) so he was so close to getting an academic award.  He came home with a citizenship award for behavior and he is also well into a first grade level on reading! I am a little sad that his first year of school seemed to fly by but I'm excited to see what first grade has in store for him.  They learned everything in kindergarten from reading to math and telling time so we shall see what challenges lie ahead. :)  He is happy that school is out for the summer and he has big plans for us!!! He has been playing tball this is his second year and he is doing well, I don't think he is enjoying it as much because he hates being in the outfield (he says its boring) but hes doing well as far as hitting and whatever else you can do I mean it is just tball LOL.

Here are some pics of him....

Some more fun things from April...

Lyric and Logan both had a field trip at Farm Friends the same day.....so since I had already went to one of Lyrics I chose to take Logan.  Thankfully they were around the same time so I snuck up and took a few pics of Lyric with his class. :)  They got to milk a fake cow, see turkeys, rabbits, chickens and a few other things.  After we finished there Mrs. Frankie had a picnic planned for Logans pre-k at the park.  It was a beautiful day!

Logan turned 4!!! We had a small power ranger party for him at the park.  He invited all of his pre-k friends and was so excited that most of them came to celebrate with him.  I just cannot believe that he is 4 and we will be doing kindergarten with him next year! Oh my goodness the time is just flying by....but I love what wonderful little boys they are growing up to be :)

April

I am so behind on blogging its horrible.  We have been so busy here lately that blogging has obviously been on the back burner.  So here are some things we done in April.

We had a cookout in the backyard and roasted marshmallows for smores.

Will was promoted to Corporal!! I couldn't be more proud of him.

Will and I celebrated our 8th year of marriage.  Instead of going somewhere fancy, I planned a camping trip to devils den.  It was amazing!! SO quiet and nothing to do but relax....We really enjoyed the time alone, although we both missed our little guys like crazy!!

We also had mens and womens church retreats one week apart from each other.  I was gone for one night and really enjoyed it.  This was my fourth year and its something I look forward to every year.....there is just something about getting a bunch of ladies together for a trip.  Will was gone for three days...they went to Louisiana Mens conference this year.  And he really enjoyed it.  The kids and I missed him though, we ended up making smores and sleeping in our sleeping bags in the living room.  April was so busy that it just went by in a flash.

marchness.....

I wrote this out weeks ago and never posted LOL oops

March has been a crazy month so far, mostly because the kids have all had some kind of stomach bug.  So we've not been out much that is for sure for the past two weeks its been going down the line and hopefully ending with Gavin as I type.  I hate seeing them sick it makes me worry and they just look so sad.
On a better note we've had spring break this week, plans??? NONE we took the kids out to lunch a couple of days and let them go hang out at Toys R Us because honestly there was not much to do.  Will has class on most nights so that would cut our day out short.  They are so bored though LOL I can tell all they want to do is play video games.........I'd love to let them outside and play but the weather is super crazy right now, it snowed yesterday and its super dreary today.  I'm ready for warmer temps and grilling and camping and.....anything that involves warmth!

Here are a few random pic I took so far this month.

Booked our vacation

Well we are finally taking a vacation that is not in Branson LOL......we think all three of the boys are big enough to handle a 12 1/2 hour drive so I've booked a townhouse on the beach!!! woohoooooo I've never been so excited and Lyric and Logan are beyond thrilled, every since Lyric was little he's always wanted to go to the beach. Will decided we would leave the day before and drive half way so we don't feel rushed.
I have shopped Rhea Lanas and started getting them their stuff for the beach and Logan had to try his on.  So here is a picture of him saying "yay, we're ready for the beach" LOL and Gavin trying on his sun hats.....

Family Fun night

We have been letting the boys pick one thing to do a month that we wouldn't normally just get out and do.  Since February was short and hectic we didn't get to pick anything until Monday night.  They had been going back and forth from bowling to Chuck E cheese.  They finally decided Chuck E Cheese was the place, so off we went.  I tried to take some pictures but they were so busy I couldn't keep up with them.  Afterwards we took them to Cabelas to see the animals and the big fish tank and then off to Dairy Queen for a treat.  We stayed out way too late for a school night but the boys had fun.
Excited to see the "mouse" but wouldn't get too close

Logan has always loved Chuck E

Won the jackpot after being there for 3 mins.....{on the hardest game}

Monster Cupcakes!!

Last Saturday Logan was invited to his friends house to make some cupcakes and play. I ended up staying and really enjoyed it.  We made mini cupcakes and regular size and then let them cool.  After cooling we stacked a mini onto a regular then silly iced it and made it into a monster.  I wouldn't have thought of it but they turned out cute!! The pics of them do not look that great but they were cute :)

Piggy banks (they've wanted some for awhile)

February was a nice month it didn't seem too busy but I'm looking back and it was pretty filled up!  We got the boys haircuts, they had valentines parties, I had surgery, we found a sitter and had a real date night!!!!! The boys have been wanting piggy banks so I found some on clearance and painted on their names and they were so excited.  I guess its the little things for them.  I know March is going to be great a little overwhelming with hubby starting classes and possibly going to a different shift but we will manage :)
