Logan

Logan has turned 4 at the end of April...with me being so behind I didn't get it posted :/

He finished his first year of pre-k and I am surprised at all he has learned: he can write his name, recognize letters in the alphabet and count (a little) he doesn't care much about counting right now LOL.  He loves writing his name though!! I can't believe how different he is from Lyric but I guess every child is different :)

He will soon be starting back speech therapy classes, he has come so far without them but I really think its important for him to go into speech his final year before he starts kindergarten.  We are starting with a new company that will actually work with us and come out to his school to evaluate him and do his classes there as well.  That in itself is such a relief.

Gavin

Gavin is now a year and a half! WOW, he is growing like crazy and learning so much.  I don't remember Lyric and Logan being as vocal as Gavin, of course Lyric had ear problems that led to speech problems and the same with Logan...so this is all new for me LOL.  Gavin can say pretty much anything he wants to: I want to get up, mama, dada, Yric (lyric), puppup, wreck it, ralph, ball, hot and the list just keeps going.  His favorite movie is Wreck it Ralph, that kid will sit down and watch the entire movie and loves it!! He also is still a big Yo Gabba Gabba fan and he can sing the songs with the show and gets super excited when it comes on.  He still eats just about everything especially his veggies (thank goodness I got one that does).

Lyric

Lyric has graduated kindergarten!! I am so proud of him, I look back at the beginning of the school year and I was so worried that he would struggle but he sure showed me!  They grade so different then when I was a kid instead of A's and B's its if you have mastered a skill or still progressing.  He had mastered everything by the end of the 4th quarter except one thing (which was capitalizing proper nouns in a sentence) so he was so close to getting an academic award.  He came home with a citizenship award for behavior and he is also well into a first grade level on reading! I am a little sad that his first year of school seemed to fly by but I'm excited to see what first grade has in store for him.  They learned everything in kindergarten from reading to math and telling time so we shall see what challenges lie ahead. :)  He is happy that school is out for the summer and he has big plans for us!!! He has been playing tball this is his second year and he is doing well, I don't think he is enjoying it as much because he hates being in the outfield (he says its boring) but hes doing well as far as hitting and whatever else you can do I mean it is just tball LOL.

Here are some pics of him....

Some more fun things from April...

Lyric and Logan both had a field trip at Farm Friends the same day.....so since I had already went to one of Lyrics I chose to take Logan.  Thankfully they were around the same time so I snuck up and took a few pics of Lyric with his class. :)  They got to milk a fake cow, see turkeys, rabbits, chickens and a few other things.  After we finished there Mrs. Frankie had a picnic planned for Logans pre-k at the park.  It was a beautiful day!

Logan turned 4!!! We had a small power ranger party for him at the park.  He invited all of his pre-k friends and was so excited that most of them came to celebrate with him.  I just cannot believe that he is 4 and we will be doing kindergarten with him next year! Oh my goodness the time is just flying by....but I love what wonderful little boys they are growing up to be :)

April

I am so behind on blogging its horrible.  We have been so busy here lately that blogging has obviously been on the back burner.  So here are some things we done in April.

We had a cookout in the backyard and roasted marshmallows for smores.

Will was promoted to Corporal!! I couldn't be more proud of him.

Will and I celebrated our 8th year of marriage.  Instead of going somewhere fancy, I planned a camping trip to devils den.  It was amazing!! SO quiet and nothing to do but relax....We really enjoyed the time alone, although we both missed our little guys like crazy!!

We also had mens and womens church retreats one week apart from each other.  I was gone for one night and really enjoyed it.  This was my fourth year and its something I look forward to every year.....there is just something about getting a bunch of ladies together for a trip.  Will was gone for three days...they went to Louisiana Mens conference this year.  And he really enjoyed it.  The kids and I missed him though, we ended up making smores and sleeping in our sleeping bags in the living room.  April was so busy that it just went by in a flash.
