So I have been wanting to make something to hang for the kids to display their artwork, I have seen several great ideas on pinterest (of course, right?), so I used some scrap pieces from our entertainment center I had the hubby turn into a microwave table/pantry ;). They are exactly the same size so I decided to do two one for each of their rooms!! I took some blue paint and splotched it over the wood, then I took some clothes pins and painted them red, as soon as it dries I will hot glue them on and possibly paint their names or some kinda saying onto them. And then I will sweet talk Will to screw them into the wall hehehe.
I surprised the kids with these!! They turned out pretty good and they were super excited to have something for their art. :)
Now back to the reused entertainment center....I had this bright idea that I needed some extra cabinet space in the kitchen so I had Will cut the top off of our amoire entertainment center :/ It doesn't look bad but it definitely does not match the kitchen at all. So when I find a new microwave table stand I think I will use it as an entertainment center in the bedroom.
My next project I am hoping to find some fabric and make curtains for the kitchen and dining room. We have a bay window and no blinds on the smaller windows so you can see right into the house....not good for middle of the night bottle making. I am almost tempted to find some cute sheets and turn them into curtains but I guess we will see :)
